After working in schools across London and Kent, I joined the Bourne Education Trust in 2012 first as Head of Performing Arts and then as Assistant Head responsible for outcomes in year 11 at Epsom and Ewell High School. In February 2019, following my secondment as Deputy Head, I was appointed Head of School at Everest Community Academy.

During my time working for the Trust my career path has been openly discussed, with various opportunities made available for me to support other schools at different stages of development. Having the opportunity to work with other colleagues has allowed me to develop my leadership style and understand how schools operate in different settings, which has been invaluable in preparing me for my first role as Head of School.

At Everest we have greatly benefited from the Trust secondment policy and I am grateful to be working with the like-minded and highly aspirational leaders we have at the school. Being part of a team, rapidly improving our school for the benefit of the staff and students alike, is an extremely exciting and rewarding place to be and I could not be more proud.
