Woodlands School becomes full member from 1st May

Bourne Education Trust is delighted to announce that Woodlands School, has become a full member of the Trust from 1st May 2026.

Woodlands School’s move to full membership builds on the strong partnership established during its time as an associate member, alongside a shared commitment to delivering exceptional, specialist education. It marks an exciting new chapter, strengthening collaboration and expanding opportunities for pupils, staff and the wider community -embodying the belief that Together, Everyone Achieves More.

Situated in Leatherhead, Surrey, Woodlands School is an outstanding special school supporting pupils aged 2–19 who require a specialised curriculum to reach their full potential. All pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), a statement of special educational needs, or are in the Early Years and currently undergoing assessment. The school caters for a wide range of needs, including severe learning difficulties, complex needs and Autism.

Woodlands School is widely recognised for its holistic approach to education, placing communication and literacy at the heart of its curriculum. As a communication-accessible school, it ensures that every pupil can develop their voice through a range of approaches. Alongside this, the school prioritises independence, confidence-building and meaningful engagement with the wider community, preparing pupils effectively for life beyond school.
