West Molesey Centre
BackOpened in partnership with The Matthew Arnold School, the West Molesey Centre, is a specialist provision for children with an Education and Health Care Plan with a primary diagnosis of Autism.
Initially providing a reduced number of places, the centre has been designed to accommodate up to 50 children from age 11 within a bespoke learning and social setting prioritising emotional wellbeing and the development of social understanding as part of the full curriculum experience.
Children at the centre will all benefit from class sizes of no more than 8 and most importantly a focus by centre staff to create the right learning environment for each child - a narrative that will run throughout the day, whether in class or breakout areas, one-to-one sessions with a teacher or teaching assistant, or having lunch and at play times.
