I graduated as a teacher over twenty years ago and have enjoyed a teaching career in Central London, Surrey and Australia. In 2009 I started teaching at Pyrcroft Grange Primary School and instantly bonded with the school community.
In 2013 the school joined the Bourne Education Trust and began a successful transformation from a ‘Requires Improvement’ school to be awarded ‘Outstanding’ in December 2016 across all five key areas: 'overall effectiveness', 'effectiveness of leadership and management', 'quality of teaching, learning and assessment', 'personal development, behaviour and welfare' and 'outcomes for children'.
The Bourne Education Trust have given me the opportunity to develop into a confident leader through professional mentoring and working alongside excellent leaders of education. In 2016 I was appointed Headteacher of Pyrcroft Grange Primary School. The Bourne Education Trust passionately believes in making a difference to children’s lives and this is achieved at Pyrcroft Grange through the continuous drive on improving teaching and learning. Within Pyrcroft Grange and across the Bourne Education Trust collaborative learning and the sharing of outstanding practice is key.
