Bourne Education Trust is presented with an important opportunity, as part of its growth plan and ongoing work with its schools, to further strengthen the development of our provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). With growing pupil numbers and a diverse range of schools joining the Trust—both mainstream and specialist - there is an increasing need to ensure that every teacher is a teacher of SEND and every leader is a leader of SEND.

As we continue to expand, we are creating well-planned opportunities across all schools so that provision is mapped and delivered effectively for every pupil. This reflects our ‘learning without borders’ approach, where sectors and phases learn from one another and hybrid curriculum models enable pupils to move seamlessly between specialist and mainstream provision. Supported by specialist and satellite provision across many of our schools, we draw on best practice from both settings to ensure that all pupils can thrive.
