BET Guarantee
How we guarantee all BET pupils the same opportunities beyond the curriculum
Opportunities to take part in extra-curricular activities vary significantly between schools, both locally and nationally. Evidence shows that participation in enrichment activities is strongly influenced by socio-economic background, meaning not all pupils have equal access to experiences that broaden horizons, build confidence and support long-term success.
To address this, we have created the BET Guarantee.
Through the BET Guarantee, we are committed to ensuring that every BET pupil benefits from the same breadth of opportunity, removing barriers, raising aspirations and ensuring that enrichment is not a privilege, but an entitlement. These opportunities are organised around five core pillars, designed to prepare pupils for life, learning and future success.

While some elements of the BET Guarantee will be common across all schools, ensuring consistency and equity, others will be shaped by individual schools to reflect their pupils, communities and contexts. This approach ensures a shared entitlement for all pupils, while allowing flexibility, creativity and local ownership.
