Paul Ransley

I am a Chartered Accountant with over three decades of experience in financial leadership roles.

I joined Bourne Education Trust in 2023 as Finance Director and more recently the Chief Financial Officer role. Prior to joining the Trust, I spent over 15 years in private equity-backed businesses within the education sector. Before that, I held a variety of senior finance positions over a 15-year period in a FTSE 100 company, covering both corporate and operational responsibilities.

This diverse background has provided me with extensive experience across multiple sectors, where I have consistently delivered strong financial performance, improved operational efficiency and created long-term value for stakeholders.

As Chief Financial Officer, I am responsible for the financial leadership, health and sustainability of the Trust. I lead the development and delivery of the Trust's financial strategy, ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and maintain robust financial controls and governance arrangements across the Trust. I also work closely with Trustees, governors and senior leaders to support strategic decision-making and ensure that resources are deployed effectively to improve outcomes for pupils.
