- Sally Brooks
I have dedicated more than 25 years to education and am passionate about creating environments where both staff and young people can thrive. Throughout my career, I have worked across local authority, federation and multi-academy trust settings. All driven by a belief that great schools are built on strong relationships, high expectations and a culture that enables everyone to achieve their potential.
As Chief People & Culture Officer at Bourne Education Trust, I lead our people strategy, with a particular focus on talent development, leadership growth, staff wellbeing and organisational culture. I am committed to ensuring that Bourne is a place where colleagues feel valued, supported and inspired, recognising that investing in our people is fundamental to improving outcomes for all children and young people.
My career began in inner-city London as a religious studies teacher and I have led almost every role both in pastoral care and curriculum. I also held a range of leadership roles including Head of School and Executive Principal. These experiences gave me a deep understanding of the challenges and rewards of working in education and reinforced my commitment to inclusion, equity and continuous improvement. I have had the privilege of leading school improvement, developing high-performing teams and supporting organisational transformation across a range of contexts.
I hold an MA in Education, the National Professional Qualifications for Headship (NPQH) and Executive Leadership (NPQEL). I am particularly passionate about coaching and mentoring others, developing future leaders and creating cultures where people feel empowered to grow and succeed.
