BET welcomes two new member schools
Bourne Education Trust (BET) is delighted to announce that The Arnewood School and The Eaglewood School became full members of the Trust on 1 December 2025 - formally joining our growing family of academies within the Bowbrook cluster.
This milestone reflects the strength of the relationship developed between our organisations and our shared commitment to delivering exceptional education, strengthening community partnerships, and expanding opportunities for students, staff and families.
Located in New Milton, on the edge of the New Forest, The Arnewood School is a highly aspirational secondary school with a thriving sixth form. Arnewood fosters a calm and supportive environment built on strong relationships among students, staff and parents. For more than 50 years, it has been a cornerstone of its community, guided by its values of Ambition, Success, Together. With an emphasis on academic excellence and personal development, Arnewood equips its students with the confidence and skills needed to succeed in their examinations and in future pathways.
The Eaglewood School, an alternative provision setting, supports students who find traditional mainstream education challenging. Its mission - Raising Aspiration and Changing Lives - is reflected in a practical approach that focusses on helping students become academically ready, emotionally prepared and confident about their next steps. By developing emotional regulation, resilience and self-esteem alongside academic progress, Eaglewood provides the structured support needed to bring about lasting, positive change for its young people.
Alex Russell, CEO of Bourne Education Trust, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Arnewood and Eaglewood as full members of Bourne Education Trust. Their commitment to strong relationships, inclusion and ambition mirrors our own, and we are excited to continue this journey together as we build on the excellent partnership already formed during their associate membership.”
