Bourne Education Trust welcomes The Gryphon Trust as associate members

Bourne Education Trust (BET) is delighted to welcome The Gryphon Trust as associate members from 1st October 2025, joining our Bowbrook cluster. This partnership marks an exciting step for both organisations, creating further opportunities for collaboration and shared learning.

Located in New Milton, on the edge of the New Forest, The Arnewood School is a highly aspirational secondary school with a sixth form provision which fosters a calm, supportive and inclusive environment and harnesses strong, positive relationships among students, staff, and parents.  It has been a cornerstone of the New Forest community for over 50 years, guided by its core values of ‘Ambition, Success, Together’.  With a focus on academic excellence alongside personal development, Arnewood prepares its students not only for examinations but for life beyond school, fostering the confidence, resilience and skills needed to succeed in their future pathways.

The Eaglewood School is an alternative provision for pupils who may struggle to access mainstream education, and aims to nurture curiosity, inspire creativity and foster a love for learning.  Its mission of ‘Raising Aspiration and Changing Lives’ is reflected in its holistic approach - helping students become academically ready, emotionally prepared and confident about their next steps. By focusing on emotional regulation, resilience and self-esteem alongside academic learning, Eaglewood builds the trust and confidence needed to bring about lasting change for its young people.

Both schools are deeply rooted in their local community, with values centred on high expectations, strong relationships and a commitment to helping every child succeed - principles that align closely with those of BET.

Alex Russell, CEO of Bourne Education Trust, said:

"We are delighted to welcome Arnewood and Eaglewood as associate members of Bourne Education Trust. Both schools share our belief in the power of relationships, inclusion and ambition, and we are excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring."

Jamie Anderson, Interim CEO of The Gryphon Trust, said: "This partnership reflects our shared commitment to high-quality education, strong community values and supporting every child to achieve their potential. We look forward to working collaboratively with BET and the Bowbrook cluster to enhance learning opportunities for our students and staff alike."
